About The Project

This roof plywood replacement project took place in Los Angeles. The roof had damaged and deteriorated decking. First, our team removed the old roofing materials. We then inspected the exposed roof deck for damage. During demolition, we found deteriorated plywood and areas of rotten wood. We removed the damaged sections and installed new plywood throughout the roof area. The new plywood created a solid surface for the new roofing system. It also prepared the roof for the required sheathing inspection and final roofing installation.

Roof Plywood Replacement

For this flat roof project, we replaced the existing roof plywood after removing the old roofing materials.

The existing plywood showed signs of deterioration and rotten wood. Our team removed the damaged decking and installed new roof sheathing throughout the roof area.

Next, we prepared the new roof deck for the required sheathing inspection. This provided a strong and properly prepared surface for the new flat roofing system.

New Roof Deck Preparation

Proper roof deck preparation is an important part of a roofing project. Damaged or rotten plywood should not simply be covered with new roofing materials.

Instead, we remove the affected material and replace it with new plywood. This helps create a solid foundation for the roofing system.

After the new plywood was installed, the roof was ready for the next phase of construction and the installation of the new flat roofing system.

Our Mission With Every Plywood Replacement Project

With every plywood replacement project, our goal is to provide a strong, stable, and properly prepared roof deck.

We do not believe in covering up damaged or deteriorated plywood. When roof decking is rotten, weakened, or no longer suitable, we replace it with new plywood.

As a result, the roof has a properly prepared surface for the new roofing materials. Proper roof deck preparation also helps support the long-term performance of the roofing system.
